Parents and Guardians we are taking nominations for School Site Council. What is that you ask? School Site Council is an advisory committee tasked with adopting the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and School Safety Plan. The SPSA looks at student data and decides on goals in both language arts, math and culture. Then decisions are made on how best to spend our money to meet those goals. The School Safety Plan outlines how the school will function in case of emergency. Being on Site Council gives you an opportunity to meaningfully participate in your child's school. Site Council meets 5 times a year for 1 hour. Our first meeting will be September 26th 2:30-3:30.
Subsequent meetings will be Thursdays: November 10th 3:00-4:00, January 19th 3:00-4:00, March 16th 3:00-4:00, May 18th 3:00-4:00.
 Please NOMINATE yourself. Or nominate a friend. Please talk to the friend to make sure they WANT to participate and CAN participate.
I will put all Nominees on a ballot and send the ballot home on Friday. 5 parents need to be elected. They will join myself, 3 teachers, and 1 classified person to create a 10 person Site Council.
